Combining my love of cooking, reading, and design, this cookbook project has been a dream come true. Cooking and reading have always been two of my greatest passions, both creative outlets in their own right, and designing a cookbook that brings them together felt like the perfect extension of who I am as a creative.

The opportunity to bring this idea to life came when my sister put together a collection of her favourite recipes during the COVID lockdowns. I saw it as the perfect moment to start a passion project I had long dreamed of. With the recipes in hand, I began crafting a visual narrative that reflected both her personality and love of food.

My sister has adored LEGO since childhood, so I incorporated playful nods to this through a bright and vibrant colour palette, echoing her fun, happy, and energetic spirit. The overall design is intentionally simple, casual, and timeless, letting the food and her voice shine through while still adding personality through thoughtful visual choices.

This project allowed me to use my well-developed design skills in a new way, blending them with my personal interests to create something meaningful, joyful, and delicious.
